Turtle Portage into Whitefish Bay

    In July we will be going to Duck Bay Lodge on LOTW and considering portaging into Whitefish Bay to chase Lake trout. Looks like that portage was just redone and is good for boats up to 24′. Has anyone used the portage since it was redone? I have a 18′ Alumacraft and going with my wife it will be primarily me doing the grunt work. How hard is it to make the portage?

    It’s a very nice portage now but your arms will be tried moving the wheel depending on the water level when you go. If you do a search online there are a few videos of it bing used.
