This is why we need regulations and enforcement. Too bad the courts won’t do their part. When I was a kid turtles were easy to find. Now I’m lucky to make one pot of soup each year. These guys will get past this with a slap on the hand and do it again. Not enough punishment to deter them I bet. I can’t imagine cleaning that many turtles either. One a year is enough.
Doesn’t sound like they were killing them. From another story I read they were being sold to Asian pet markets.

Turn them over to the IRS. I am confident they declared none of the income associated with selling poached turtles.

Considering the search was ruled Unconstitutional I agree with the ruling. I’m all for criminals getting what they deserve however the cops gotta play by the rules too.
