Hmmm.
I wonder if I can get a Turkey to just follow me out of the woods and into my truck. Then I wouldn’t have to worry about any BBs in my dinner!February 17, 2004 at 2:21 pm #292986Hmmm.

There are a lot of people that would pay someone to live trap them and transfer them to an area near their home. Looks like KSTP was looking for a story. I am sure most poeple love those Turkeys in the area.
I personally love driving down the road and seeing huge flock of Turkey in the fields. I never thought they could make such a come back. I personally want to thank the NWTF and all the other groups that worked so hard to help establish Turkey populations around the state.

I couldn’t agree with you more. Driving around the Somerset area, it’s a rare day when you don’t see a field full of turkeys. It’s gotten to the point that my son doesn’t get excited any more. It’s just, “Oh yea, there go the turkeys.” I personally hadn’t seen a turkey in the wild until a few years ago, and now they seem to be everywhere!

SteveFebruary 17, 2004 at 11:37 pm #2337I thnk most of our urban population has become too civilized. These people are intimidated by a flock of turkeys. These are the same peole that pay good money to see these same animals at the zoo. They should count their blessings and toughen up a little bit.
