Just an FYI The D.N.R. has posted the spring turkey results. Punch in your numbers and see if you got picked. They will have the extra license’s ready Mar. 15 at 12:00 or 1:00. Good luck to those chosen and good luck to all who try for the extra’s. KEEP IT SAFE OUT THERE

I just checked the WI DNR for mine. I got 4/21-4/25. Not too bad. I shot a 26 1/2#er last year so I have set my bar pretty high for this year.

Just checked mine, I did not get drawn

My preference level is 2, how high does the scale go and is 2 on the good or bad end of the scale?

Oh well there’s always next year, thanks for the link.

Steve: I got drawn and my preference is #1. Maybe they saw my backyard picture and figure I need to clean house!

I feel for you Sgt Rock. Turkey used to hang around my parent’s old house. They would even roost in the garage. It drove my dad batty. They would leave an ungodly mess around the yard and would tear the lawn to pieces.

Both me and a buddy are “preference #1”, whatever that means????

Neither one of us got drawn. Frustrating, because I have access to about 200 birds. 25 are living in my back yard!!!!!

    Go figure………

With this many birds around you’d think you could just buy a license over the counter.
I think it is a lot harder to get a tag in Minnesota than it is in Wisconsin. I’ve been drawn every season so far.

What is tough, is that I live in the country, where my whole life, I grew up with the dog running “free”. My lab has to be on her running leash, or we would have turkey dinner every night………………Hum?????????? Maybe if I…….No, better not!!!!

It is easy to get a permit in Wisconsin, but I NEVER seem to get the first season. Conspiracy I tell you. I know guys that have gotten 1st season 3 years straight, yet in 5 years I have never got it.

I am going to hunt 1st and 4th season here in Iowa. Gonna go into Walley World the day before and get my tag…. Draw for a tag ? Oh thats right we don’t have to do that anymore here…. sorry guys just had to rub it in alittle. I feel for ya though. It would suck to have to draw tags. Build up all the anticipation for the hunt and then not be able to go. I would think that our Northern Brothers would have enough birds now that you too would not have to still use the draw system.
