I know it’s late, but i wanted to post. I drew a tag for northern Iowa this spring and it was a typical “love/hate” turkey hunt as it always is with a bow My brother and I hunted from Friday-Monday (Easter weekend) and we finally killed birds on the last morning I cut feathers on a tom at 10 yards trotting to the decoy on the second morning, my brother lost a tom after we walked up on him bedded down 3 hours after he was shot, missed one at 20 yards that ended up spotting him in the blind, and shot over a bearded hen at 37 yards on the last day
In the end, however, my tom weighed 25.8#, 1 7/16 and 1 3/8″ spurs, and 10 4/8″ beard. The other went 23#, 3/4″ spurs, and 9 4/8″ beard

Big bird! Iowa consistently produces huge birds. Corn-fed giants. Congrats on a pig…with a bow no less!
