I stepped out on the deck this morning and let out a few yelps. I wasn’t really trying to call for birds. I was just messing with the call before the kids woke up. One tom answered right away and before I could get the kids out of bed he was in full strut right next to the picture window out of my walk out basement. I army crawled to the window. Held up the camera and just before I snapped a picture, my son stands up and yells “WHOA”! Needless to say I didn’t get the picture. But they sure were excited! With the youth hunt this weekend; I am hopeful to call in two or three more.
