I can’t attach the pics, it keeps coming up with an error “unable to locate parent page”
Here is just a few pics of this winter’s massacre on our turkeys. Just sickening to see so many remnants scattered across the fields and in the woods. I covered about 900 acres in two days of hiking. Never saw a live bird or heard anything until driving by a farm about 12 miles away from mine.
Saturday evening I checked a half dozen roosting areas – nothing!
I did see about 11 deer bedded and had 13 in my field eating saturday night.

deertracker, I’m guessing it was all of the above. I can’t get all the pics to load from my phone. But in one field, there was about 6 to 10 different piles in a very small area. Possibly a fox or coyote dragging them there??? or possible froze in that spot??
In the roosting areas, I found many more carcasses. Those I’m sure those all froze to death in the trees and fell. They were all beneath common roosting trees.
As for all the others that I came across, were just singles here and there scattered throughout the woods. Those I’m sure were victims of predators….in all cases, they had been eaten so mother nature was taking care of those higher on the food chain

Bummer. I think it will be much the same in my hunting area in central Minnesota. I hope they came thru better than I think they did. We should get a better idea in a few weeks when it warms up and the fields start to clear.
