They’re still up on the limb, pounding away. Lucky dogs that have tags in their pockets….finally get to experience spring!

Good News my season starts tomorrow, but with work tomorrow, saturday looks to be the day i can wrap my tag on one of these thunder chickens…. Last sunday my younger brother had three toms come in to 15 yards to killer b and breeding hen…. he was able to get a shot but ended up skipping it off his back i told him he had a good start on making a pillow….

Once again, my tag will be taking a back seat as I will be guiding “for free” in the morning. I’m taking a co-worker out and hope to put the hammer down on a Long Beard. Went scouting this a.m. and saw a couple within range of our set-up. I was his guide last year when he connected on his 1st Tom. Gonna be a fun time.

They did not start to gobble until 11:00 this morning for me, after I had one awnser back it took a hour and fifteen mintues to get close enough to shoot. He hung up at 100 yards with a hen, but she left and he came into the box call and decoy.
The box call is the only one he would gobble to out of 3 calls.
