Had a tom come to 40 yards this morning, and I never drew back because I thought he’d come right into the DSD and pretty girl. He’s sitting in a corn field strutting and gobbling now. I guess i’ll wait him out

Good luck to you! Patience kills more turkeys than anything, and 40 is a long shot at a turkey unless dead-still (which they rarely are).
When I have a shotgun in my hands however, my rule is always to take the first shot within range that you can comfortably make!
