A foot of snow, driving wind, and bouts with hens couldn’t stop Emily from putting the hammer down on this MN gobbler! With a hot tip from a good friend on some roosted birds, we setup in the morning about 100 yards from the roost. Loaded with hens, the valley below eventually gave up its gobblers with some light and non-challenging flock-talk. My buddy Jake coached her well, though Emily didn’t need it; waiting a full 10 minutes while toms were in range for our bird to clear from the rest of the group. She even shot him like a pro on the gobble. Exciting!!!
