turkey license ?

    I was lucky enough to draw a tag from the lottery, do I need to purchase my tag before this monday when the surplus tags go on sale, or can I just wait until my season gets closer and buy it then? Cant seem to find it in the turkey regs. thanks

    The card I received states, you may start purchasing licenses March 1. Doesn’t say anything about a deadline to purchase by.

    You can buy it anytime or not at all. How it works it if zone 123 has 1000 license available and only 900 are given out in the lottery then 100 will go to the surplus sale. If you never buy the license it’s never sold…
