dang near had two.. had to wait for them to separate
I roosted him two days ago in last two days. It’s been too windy. This morning I woke up at 5 AM it was calm so I got dressed and was on standby, 530 15 min. later three birds started gobbling. I had a jake and hen decoy out and started soft yelping on a box call immediately I got a response but it was a quarter-mile away. So I kept yelping softly and he kept calling. So, I stopped calling for 20 min. then putted a few times and yelped once he gobbled Loud and started coming my way. I noticed some movement 250 yards away and saw two gobblers and a hen coming inthe gobblers saw my decoys and took off running towards them. The decoys were set out at 15 yards both Tom started strutting immediately and kept going back and forth in front of each other. I had to wait for them to separate so I could only shoot one. So at 645 this morning. I ended my hunting tomorrow morning I’m going to go out and do some calling for a friend I used the Mossberg 835 ulti mag
with 3 1/2 inch Remington Nitro Turkey loads number five shot great GREAT Turkey loads bang flop never twitched
