Was just reading on another post how well this was working for another hunter. Upon the suggestion of a few great turkey hunters like Pat Howard from the site here, and seeing Billy Yargus mix them in last spring, I’ve been incorporating them into my calling both fall and spring. Last spring, it really made the difference for a buddy’s bird.
With people spending time in the deer woods coming up, pay careful listen to those hen flocks. I had a group of almost 30 birds last week that kee-kee’d continuously. I learned an incredible amount regarding cadence of the call, duration, pitch, volume, and most importantly, how they mixed it in with other vocalizations. Now is the time to hear what clues you need for your upcoming hunts!
