MN Surplus License Question

    Does anyone know if you lose your preference points if you buy a surplus license? I haven’t been picked for two years and don’t want to lose my points if I buy a license for one of the two seasons.

    I wondered the same thing when I bought my surplus tag for this season. I can’t see it affecting preference points. A quick call to the DNR should answer this question.
