with this bird. Seen this out my back window this morning. Did not see a beard so I think it is a hen. She was by herself all morning and something seemed odd about her.
The photo is a little grainy but this is the best I got as she was about 400 yards away and I was using a 140X zoom lens on my camera.

This is the DNR. Do you live near a driving range. That turkey has what we call golf ball neck syndrome. We are gonna have to pay a sharpshooter to take out every turkey in a 50 mile radius.
Seriously looks like some sort of growth. I am really not sure. Kind looks like a neck tied in a knot. Pretty interesting you notice from 400 away. What ever it is doesn’t look right.

I would guess her neck was damaged at a young age or she was simply born with a crooked neck. We see it all the time in chickens.
