Man I wish, the wife just wont go for it. I shot a 28lb double beard a couple years ago with 1 3/4” spurs which was the most beautiful bird I have shot and she said nope to that one I asked about this dude and nope not going in the house, I just cant imagine spending that kind of money on a mount for it to collect dust in the garage. I dont know how some of you guys get away with it, talk about jealous.

Great bird – I like that old Polly choke gun as well. You don’t see them much anymore.

Yep, this gun is stinkn old but by far my best turkey gun for whatever reason, with the polly choke on and a 2 3/4″ winchester supreme 4 shot in it, my patterns are very consistent up to 40 yards. This bird was at 38 yards and dropped like a ton of bricks. I’ve tried several different shots with this gun and found this is its best setup.

Anyone else use these polly chokes?

As far as the mount . . .

It is easier to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission

Mount it and never look back. An absolutely incredible bird. There have been some large early season birds taken here, esp. after the winter we had. I’ve killed a good number of turkeys, and have shot long bearded ones, long spurred ones, and heavy ones…..sometimes even having two of the three. To be that big in all areas, it’s really a testament to how good that bird is.

    Congrats!

    Joel
