Hevi-shot Mag Blend pattern….

    Very “unnoficial” patterns, but here are a few for comparison. All out of the same gun, same choke (I forget which one, but some sort of xtra full turkey choke)

    1. 3″ pheasant loads (5’s)
    2. 3″ turkey loads (5’s)
    3. Same load as #2 – sights adjusted slightly
    4. 3.5″ Hevi-Shot Mag blend. 5’s, 6’s, 7’s. Sights adjusted back slightly from previous shot.

    These shots were taken at about 25 yards. The drawings obviously are not to scale, and I’m no artist.

    you get the idea, though. Good group with the Hevi-shot…

    That blend load looks like it would about take the head off!

    After getting the gun sighted in using the 3″ turkey loads, did you have to adjust your sights for the Hevi-shot Mag blend? The pattern is very impressive.

    No sight adjustment, they shot the same POI.

    I shot mine at 23 yards this year with the Mag blend and a turkey choke and let’s just say the pattern was about the size of a softball (maybe a bit bigger) and really did some damage!

    that hevi-shot pattern is impressive.
    but i think the no. 2 pic with the 3″ no. 5s, which i shoot, would do the job as well.

    That Hevi Shot is some awesome stuff. I’ve got my gun/choke/shot combo set up with Hevi Shot and I’m confident out to 60 yards. That Rem 870 is a turkey killing machine.
