Looks to me like a double! Would that be an Elimatree in the background?

I am not a turkey hunter, so how common are multiple bearded birds?

Pretty rare. I am not sure how many Turkeys I have shot. But it’s a good number and I have yet to claim a multiple bearded Tom.

I’d say double as well. Your new “muley”?

I’ve got a bearded hen, but never a double beard. I think I know where I would set up opening morning….

    Pat –

Is that a morning shot? Are the birds normally strutting that time of day in that location??

Have you considered putting the camera facing the opposite way (with the sun shining full on the turkey)?? (or is that what that other camera in the background is for)

As it is, you have a lot of grey/black/shadow. Get video from the other angle and you have some really colorful footage.

    Very nice bird, though!

That camera is facing North. I am not sure what the deal with the sun was. Video was taken at 603 PM on 3-29. I wasn’t expecting them in there at that time but most of my action has been afternoon. Personally I love the video with the sun showing threw his tail. I vote the camera stays there and I will “tweek” the other one on my Elimatree Thanks for your input thou
