Seems a little early

    I usually have 30 60 birds in the yard every day but this morning there was allot of hens yelping and allot of toms gobbling and strutting I usually don’t see this till march. I am not a turkey guy. so is this early or normal

    Pretty normal. Maybe they heard the extended forecast of mid 40’s next week.

    I see them gobbling and strutting during deer hunting sometimes.

    I too think it’s weather-related. We usually don’t have a week or more of above freezing highs, and this weather is definitely what usually triggers it in March.

    Without a calendar to reference, I’d swear I was behind in the game!

    Great pics Pat! Yep – the warmer weather always brings out a few more gobbles and strutters.
