I have the same setup and I am not exactly sure how it works. However, I believe the recirc option just re-pumps the water that you have in the livewell instead of pulling from the Lake. I imagine the reciculated water splashing in the livewell naturally add some oxygen.

By the way, anybody know where you can get the replacement Attwood pumps for this setup? The new tsunami’s don’t work.

Were these disconnected from the switch/lever on the boat? I broke one switch this spring and having some difficulties trying to find one right now. But what I’ve done is unscrewed the plate that the switches attach to, and move the cable with my hand, verses using the dial on the front. Makes draining the well easier verses me sticking half my arm in the well to pull the plug.

The recirc option recirculates the water that is already in your livewell. Nice for keeping good water in the well if your waiting in a marina to weigh fish, or for keeping bait alive over night. Just switch the toggle over to recir and it will cycle every 3 or 5 minutes.

Now if you’re looking to add an oxygenator, you would want to get this fixed. I’m pretty sure with an oxygenator you fill the well up with good clean water, switch the well over to recir and the oxygenator will add to that water. It would defeat the purpose of the oxygenator if you kept filling the well from the lake, only to have it flow out the over flow back into the lake.

You have attwood pumps? In mine I have the Johnson/Mayfair cartridge pumps which I’ve found just at most boating and cabelas/ganders.

    Jami,

One of my switches is broken. That’s why they are disconnected. Let me know when you find a replacement. I think I need a couple.

The cable just goes to a shut off/diverter valve doesn’t it? My switch is completley disconnected under the livewell. The hose is just laying in the bottom of the boat and I just have a second plug in the livewell. Are those cables pretty easy to pull on? Thanks!

Yes, the cables are easy to move from empty/fill/recir. I can’t believe they disconnected them from the livewell and not just from the switch. I would hook them back up to the well, remove the switch (1 screw for the switch) and just manually move he cables by hand until you can get a replacement.

I’m pretty sure your correct that the cable just goes to a shut off/diverter.

Since I don’t use my front well very often, or at all, I’m going to use that switch for my back well until I can get a new one.

I’ve called 2 Lund dealers, one said they had a whole box full of them, until i got there and they didn’t have a single one.

Trouble is that there aren’t any lund dealers close to me, and I don’t feel like driving an hour to get one. I’ll swap the front working switch with the main broken switch until I happen to drive by a dealer to pick one up.

Before they took away/moved dealerships I had one within 2 miles of the house….

That helps a ton AJ. Check out Flow-Rite’s website. They have great diagrams. Now hopefully I can get it working again.

    Thanks again!
