OK me and the Mrs set up this AM on a tom that has been hunted quite a bit and has received the name “lucky” he has been in range of 4 hunters and lived to tell

This AM new plan with the Covert blind in place we snuck in with b-mobile and 2 hen decoys We were settled in about 450 am with the rain that was plenty early Then we sat and heard nothing for about 2 hours About 715 I yelped a few times and followed it up with a gobble from my gobble tube then repeated It wasn’t 2 minutes 2 jakes sailed across the field and a jake and a tom landed in the decoys at 20 yards( the last thing I expected 2 hours after sun up) we were caught so off guard by this we spooked them trying to get a gun that was leaning in the corner of the blind A courtesy gobble to say here we come would have been nice

So (safety first) a gobble tube with bring in stubborn birds now

Since we have tagged a few birds this year I think b-mobile and the hens will make a return appearance tomorrow but at a different spot theres a tom there that gobbled Thurs am nonstop from 5 AM until 11 AM I think he needs to be gobbled at and meet b-mobile

Good luck this weekend its gonna be a warm one

I’m thinking it’s been a good year and too just sleep in tomorrow but we will see. Still have the streak to defend tomorrow

I’ve got one more morning in me. This morning, I watched a tom go within 20 yards of both spots I setup in last weekend.

It will be my last hunt for 2010 spring, not sure where I’m gonna setup yet.
