Got my turkey last night! Was pretty much driving around looking for turkeys for the next morning, when i saw one strutting behind a wood lot. So, i went and asked the owner if i could sneak along her woods and call it in. She had no problem with it so me and my buddy snuck along and got about 150 yards away where we last saw it. We settled in the brush. I had the Benelli SBE 2 ,while he had the video camera! Within 2 minutes i see a hen appear over the hill. She walks down the fence line and cuts in the woods ten yards before us. Shortly after the tom appears. He got to about fifteen yards, and i pounded him. I shot him behind some brush cause i didnt want to risk him jumping in the woods after the hen. So within 15 minutes we changed into our hunting clothes grabbed our gear and shot a turkey. Not to bad id say. It was 23 pounds. 8 1/4 inch beard. and 3/4 inch spurs. Not my biggest but im happy with it. The second picture is of my uncles shot tonight. 10 inch beard, 7/8 spurs. 23 pounds.

Congrats to you and your Uncle!

And I would definitely do something nice for that wonderful lady that granted you permission to hunt!
