VIRGINIA, Minn. — An argument over blessed arrows and turkeys led to the stabbing of a man in a Virginia bar. The Duluth News Tribune reports that 56-year-old Roger Allen King was charged Friday with attempted second-degree murder and first-degree assault.
The criminal complaint says King was arguing with 38-year-old Corey TwoCrow Jr. about five hunting arrows that King had made for TwoCrow and given him a few months ago.
TwoCrow says the arrows were “blessed,” but he accidentally broke three of them. That upset King, who told TwoCrow he owed him five turkeys. TwoCrow said he would give him one.
Virginia police were called to the bar about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday to find TwoCrow stabbed in the chest. King was arrested a short time later.
King was in the St. Louis County Jail on Thursday with bond set at $300,000.
