dragging your kid out of bed for this weekends youth hunt our birds have been showing up on the ridge were hunting at about 730 but i’ll still want to be in the blind in the dark, up at 4 half hour drive, half hour walk, in blind by 530

Adam can sleep when we get inside the Covert! 
my goal is always to be set up “a half hour before a half hour before.”
that is, a half hour before a half hour before sunrise.
guess i could just say an hour before sunrise. 
turkeys start waking up on the roost a half hour before sunrise or sometimes even sooner. the extra half hour before that gets me in my spot without being detected.
