WI Spring Turkey Surplus Tags go on sale 3/22-3/27

Remaining permits will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. Each zone will have a designated sales date with sales starting at 10:00 AM through Midnight each day. These sales will be held for 5 consecutive days with customers able to purchase one permit per day. Remaining permits for all zones will go on sale on the sixth day (one permit per day). Only the following zones have permits available.

The scheduled sales dates are:

•Zone 1 – Monday, March 22

•Zone 2 – Tuesday, March 23

•Zone 3 – Wednesday, March 24

•Zone 4 – Thursday, March 25

•Zone 5 & Zone 6 – Friday, March 26

Any permits still remaining for all zones – Saturday, March 27

Permits are $10.00 for residents and $15.00 for the nonresidents. Please note that at the time you purchase your permit you will be required to purchase a spring turkey license and stamp.

One per day per customer, until they are sold out or the season ends.

Zone 1 A,D,E,F for me Might try to get a C tag also.It will be tough to get with only 206 available

last year i had 3 tags and came home with 0 birds. hope this year goes better

Just a question. If a non-resident didn’t (or forgot) to apply for the original drawing, can they still go buy a surplus tag?

Yes you can

The 206 for season c zone 1 were gone in less than 1 minute

I found out that the surplus tags will only be sold on the day listed above. For example – Zone 1 will only be sold on Monday, March 22nd and then the rest of the tags will go back on sale on Sat. March 27th. Zone 1 will not be sold on March 23rd – 26th. Not sure the reason behind this because it doesn’t make any sense to me.

Brad to keep from overloading the DNR computor they only sell Zone 1(and only zone 1) on 3-22 then Zone 2 on 3-23(and only zone 2) etc.

They “tweeked” this process from a few years of failure

I should have clairified that on your post. Living here in WI I just take for granted everyone knows how the game is played Sorry

I wouldn’t consider that a computer problem. It’s the individuals that designed that online licensing application that they should fix.
