yes the birds were being a little bull headed in wisc. the birds would just not commit to anything. gobbling was fair. With the hens nesting you would think the birds would be very aggressive not so. Saturday friend and I made our way out to the blind but no one wanted to come so we went after one gobbling his head off. Made it into about 100+yrds and called and would not budge from his strut zone. So I moved back and started calling for my buddy still nothing moved farther and finally got the bird moving. the bird started moving out to the field so I cut down the hill and called with 2 loud answers and BOOOOM. It pays to have a partner when hunting. As for my tag I ended up eating it due to birthday party and mothers day giving it another try this week good luck all
