    I smoked a monster!

Right after the derby i went out to my blind to sit and see if my decoys could draw in some toms heading to their roost. i set them up and got in my blind. i reached for a call and yelped once and this monster came in full strut to my decoys. as soon as it broke strut i filled his head with 5 shot. i was so excited i jumped out of the front windo of my blind and ran to him. when i saw his size i realized that i just killed the ol ghost bird that i once thought was impossible to kill. he tipped thescales at an even 29 pounds and had monster spurs. this is my biggest bird and probally will be for a while. i am still in shock.

lol. it took alot for me to keep a serious hunting face. the smile from that bird has not wore off yet!

oh. and yeah, its from kentucky. total score is 79.5…

    Turkey’s weight: 29 lbs. 0 oz.
    Spur length Right: 1.375 in.
    Left: 1.375 in.
    Beard length 11.5 in.
    29 + 13.75 + 13.75 + 23 = 79.5

No kidding. A 29’er is something most of us will never see, let alone shoot!

    Many congrats!
