Was up to the cabin by Bayfield this week-end. Been seeing turkeys in the yard, and woods, around the cabin the past few years. Finally got to hear them gobble, was pretty neat.
Strong critters to be able to handle all the snow, wolves, and coyotes up there.
I hear ya, I just saw some for the first time up by Mc Grath, MN just East of the North side of Mille Lacs. 
We have land near McGrath too…just north of Hwy 18. I can’t wait until they open a season up there. It shouldn’t be too long, starting to see quite a few of them.
You guys are familiar with Jacks Shack then right? Corner of 65 and 27. The parking lot had about 50 of them thunder chickens last year. I’m 1 mile north of there!
YEP BP, the bird I saw was just South of Jacks a few miles.
They still have a ways to go to hit our property just North of Big Sandy.
