Took the GF out this morning, she had never turkey hunted before and wanted to try it. At 6:20 she put the down on a nice Tom and now she is hooked. There was gobbling all around this morning but only one commited to the field and the decoys. She made the perfect shot and nice bird to show for it.The bird weighed 21 lbs with a 9 and a half in beard. Did I say she shot a hole in the blind

6:20? I was still !! Congrats to her and you for making that happen! Another turkey hunter is born! Was it with archery equipment or gun? You know, when shooting through a blind, it’s always important to take a picture of that as well!

Congrats to your GF on a great first bird and congrats to you for hooking another Female into the world of hunting.

Yes was it archery or gun she shot it?

Make sure you get her entered into the Turkey Contest in this forum.

Great Tom! I was hooked after my first time in the field. I love watching the birds and it is so peaceful early in the morning. This makes me so excited for my seasons….
