took my buddies boy dylan out last year and got his 1st tom gonna try for dylans 2nd tom cant wait hope it warms up a bit needless to say im fired up i get more fired up for someone elses hunt than i do for my own anymore

Thats awesome. I wish someone would have introduced me earlier to turkey hunting. I’m tryin to get my girlfriend and my younger brother one. We’ll see how that goes. Keep us posted on Dylan’s second season. Good luck
A buddy from work has two sons and both got drawn for a special youth hunt that needs an adult with…so he asked me to help out…we’ll see how it goes…cant wait to get in the blind. Thats in MN though…good luck Gutone…Jay

My son turns 12 this fall and I know he is fired up about hunting turkeys next spring. I know we’ll take advantage of the youth season for sure…and my goal is to bring a buddy of his that has never gone hunting before and see what he/she thinks about it.

i am going out on the youth hunt this year. i have yet to get a turkey with in range of a 12 gauge duble barreled 3 1/2 inch turkey shot number 4 or 5. i am hunting hard this season. hope i get one. last year for the youth hunt. best wishes to every one that is goign turkey hunting this year and good luck. hope you guys get the big one.

where about are you hunting????
all right. i will keep all the details stright and post as many pics as i can. i am aiming for a turkey over 20 pounds. weather that will happen i dont know. the spot that i am hunting this year is know for getting 2 beered turkeys. we got 3 last year. every one was over 20 pounds. biggest was 23 pounds in the 4 season. so i keeping my hopes high.
i will be hunting about 10 miles south of eau clair WI on county road D
Even though my brothers daughter Danielle is too old for the youth hunts now (how time flies), we really enjoyed the times we did spend during the youth seasons. Although she never did get a bird during the youth season, she did manage to pattern this bird last year and got him the weekend after youth season! The exciting part now…my son Adam will be old enough next spring to start hunting! Time for hunters safety!
