Maybe…but they do have awesome colors in their feathers! I think this year if I am fortunate enough to bag one with a bow again, I may have to get a full body mount!

Alot of people think they are ugly but i personally think they are a cool looking bird. Here are a few pics of mine. This is my first turkey shot in May of 2004.

I have a full mount of a turkey! I don’t think they are all that ugly.

I will try to put up a pic of its within the week. Mine is just in the full strut and its looks like it is walking.

I also have like a half mount of one were its flat against the wall and all the feathers are flared out.

    Very cool mount JC.

Benny, if you could post both mounts that would be great! I would like to see the wall mount….thining I might go that route as well!

Do it! But do your homework. From the taxidermists I’ve spoken to, it’s one of the tougher mounts out there.

Lots of options too. Some of the cooler ones I’ve seen are corner/ceiling mounts with an oak limb going from wall to wall mounted high, and the bird up on a limb, beard dangling ready to fly off. Standard full strut mount is cool, but tough to find a place for it. Flying is nice, but you rarely see turkeys in that stance in the woods.
