Spring??? Who cares, I want FALL!
I’ll pretend you didn’t say that! Plus, I think I enjoy turkey hunting more than I do deer hunting!
January 26, 2009 at 7:17 pm #46861I was told from a reliable source that MN should come any day now.

January 26, 2009 at 8:47 pm #46867The DNR website say mid feb. for the results, so keep and eye out!
January 27, 2009 at 12:46 pm #46906Being a non-resident we always draw the later seasons. Tina and I will be hunting May 13-17.
Here’s some info. on the extra tags that are still available. I see that they spread out the purchase dates based on the zones. Maybe now their system won’t crash.
Remaining permits will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis. New sales procedures will be implemented for Leftover Spring Turkey Permits. Each zone will have a designated sales date with sales starting at 10:00 AM through Midnight each day for the first five days. These sales will be held for 5 consecutive days with customers able to purchase one permit per day. Remaining permits for all zones will go on sale on the sixth day (one permit per day). Only the following zones have permits available.
The scheduled sales dates are:
Zone 1 – Monday, March 23
Zone 2 – Tuesday, March 24
Zone 3 – Wednesday, March 25
Zone 4 – Thursday, March 26
Zone 5 & Zone 6 – Friday, March 27
Any permits still remaining for all zones will be for sale starting at 10:00AM Saturday, March 28. Permits will remain on sale until the zone and time period sells out or the season ends.Permits are $10.00 for residents and $15.00 for the nonresidents. Please note that at the time you purchase your permit you will be required to purchase a spring turkey license and stamp.
One per day per customer, until they are sold out or the season ends.

4B 0 0 0 0 0 0February 2, 2009 at 4:38 pm #47145I am wondering what is the deal with the dnr? My wife and I sent in and both of use received preference points. We are residents of WI and have been all of our lives. Anyway, I have never heard of this, has anyone else heard of this for residents? I am sort of PO’ed with the whole deal. I know I did it correctly because my neighbor filled his out at the same time as we did and everything was the same and he received a tag.
February 3, 2009 at 2:18 am #47209Is this your first year applying? I guess maybe a call to the dnr might be in order to help answer your question. But if this is your first time registering then maybe that is why. If not then I’m not sure what to tell you! Make sure to try to purchase an extra tag when they become available (see Brad’s post above for dates)!
