Just wondering if anyone scored on the opening day of the MN and WI seasons. I took a drive around the “block” this morning and saw one lone hen and a flock of eleven including five toms and six hens. Awesome to watch as they put on quite a show but are the toms all hened up? How was the gobbling activity, just early morning or did the gobble all day? I’m hunting the second season and can’t wait to put the hammer down!! 
My brothers daughter Danielle shot her first Tom yesterday morning at about 7:00! They said the birds were all over them with 5 or 6 gobblers in every direction…the one she got made the mistake of coming in to within 35 yards and she put the smack down on him! I’ll post pictures when he comes into work and shows me. 
My Uncle rolled one up yesterday. 22lbs was the only info I received. Pics were taken by my Dad.

I called one in for my Dad last thursday 4/17. They were out about 200 yards when I called to two Toms. They came running to about 50 yards away. Got to w/i 40 yards but my Dad missed. 
They ran up the ridge and after about 20 min I heard them gobble again…i’m pretty sure it was the same ones. I called and in about 20 more minutes they gobbled again. I gave ’em the sweet lovin’ hen music one more time and they popped out right behind us. I had a jake decoy right behind a hen decoy about 8 yards from the blind and he didn’t like it. He strutted around them and I’m guessing would’ve put the on the jake decoy if my Dad hadn’t have filled his tag first. I can’t believe they came back w/i an hour of being shot at. I’ve been trying to put the pic on here since last thursday but it says it’s not a jpg…it is though and I haven’t had problems before. Ow well…great hunt and happy Pops gots his first gobbler.
