DO YOU NEED A GROUND BLIND????

The last few weeks I had been looking for a new hunting blind or 2 for the upcoming Turkey & Deer Seasons. I wanted a blind that I could easily transport, fit 2 people comfortably in and able to film hunts out of it. Since I already have a Ameristep and a Double Bull Blind already, I was looking for another good quality blind. I had an opportunity to check out a hunting blind made by Covert Tactical Hunting Gear. It seemed to be a good overall blind and for the money, it was too hard to pass up. So after reading some literature on it and looking at it on their website, I got my hands on a Command Post model and took it home. Like usual, I couldn’t wait and had to set it up on the living room floor to check it out and see what it was like. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it went up wit the hub style walls and roof. The other thing that got me excited was the room. Basically it opens up to 5’x5’x 5’7″ tall. It would easily fit two people and camera gear. I also liked the camo pattern and the fabric was not real shiny like others on the market. It wasn’t quite as dull as the Double Bull fabric, but better then most. The black shadow interior was real dark and good for concealing movement inside the blind. For turkey hunting this is probably not a big deal, but for deer hunting I like to really brush in my ground blinds. The Command Post has some deception brush slots around the whole blind that easily allows you to place cover, branches, etc. on and around the blind for fooling those keen whitetails and blending in. It comes with a camo carrying case that the blind fits into and allows to be worn as a back pack for easy carrying it in and out of the field. There are windows on all sides giving you the option to see on all sides of you. The shoot through mesh is replaceable and really conceals you from the outside looking in. This Command Post blind probably closest resembles my Ameristep Brick house, but for half the cost. In my opinion, for the money the Commnad Post is the best ground blind on the market right now. I’m very pleased with this blind so far and will probably be looking at getting another one or two by the time deer season rolls around. So if you are looking for a new hunting blind for this coming Turkey or Deer season, make sure to take a look at the COMMAND POST blind by Covert Tactical Hunting Gear.

Right now they are running a Spring Turkey special and the blind is on Sale for $80.00. If you have any questions or would like to purchase one of these blinds, you can email Mike Pearson @ [email protected] and tell him you seen the ground blind on In-Depth Outdoors.

Happy Hunting and I hope this will give some of you another option in a good quality, but low price ground blind.

How does the overall weight compare to the Double Bull?
Also, does it fold up and fit in a bag similar to the Double Bull?

I have a pretty high opinion of the Double Bull blinds, but they do have their disadvantages such as weight and especially cost.
I would love to hear your opinions on the above questions

Wats, the weight is 18lbs. It fits into a nice sized bag and shoulder straps for back packing. I really like the Double Bull blind also, but for $400 it is really hard to swallow buying more then one. I hunt in different areas and need more then 1 blind. This Command Post fits the bill nicely for $80.
