I finally got some pics uploaded of my 2006 turkey. I got it mounted in a gobble strut pose, since I had it working and gobbling for an hour before I finally got a shot at him. I really like the mount, it’s something different from the standard strut mount. The only thing negative about the pose I guess is I think the bird down’t look quite as big as when in a full strut, but my wife thinks it is still WAY too big for the house.

Looks great! Do you plan on putting it in glass? As it could be a bugger to keep dust free without ruffling a few feathers. Not a cheap bird to mount either. Thanks for the great pics!

Thanks for the nice words. I haven’t really thought about putting it under glass, though that is probably a really good idea. We may be buying a new house soon, after we move, I will think about it more. Maybe by then the wife will forget how much the mount cost before I pay for glass.

This is the link from when I shot the bird. http://www.idohunting.com/forum/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/328304/page/4/view/collapsed/sb/5/o/all/fpart/1

Nice pictures Dan. Didn’t get your email yet but the bird looks great! Hopefully we’ll hook up this turkey season for a couple of

You should’ve had the guy put a motion sensor on it so if someone walked in front of it, it would gobble!

Congrats again on a great looking bird!
