turkey feeding

    Does anyone know if you can put out feed for turkeys and what the laws are on that?? If you can, what do you suggest? Thanks!

    I believe you can feed them, but be careful what you wish for. The numbers can get out of control and they can make a heck of a “mess” and get into other things you may not have thought they would be interested in.

    Oh yeah feeding them is great. I’ve had as many as 38 at a time in the yard. They tip over chairs, break the feeders, leave piles of turkey “sausage” on your deck. Peck at their reflection in the window. Walk on your roof. And some days they just make you laugh.

    Touring the backroads of Buffalo/Trempealeau counties all you have to do is look where “Farmer John” went with his crap spreader and you’ll find turkeys. Just give him a call and you’ll kill two birds with one stone. Bring in turkeys and fertilize your lawn!!!!
