Dartman, Love your video! The excitment in your voice says it all. I know bowhunting turkeys is very difficult especially with a camera and jr. with too and you pulled it off. All I can say is, Hats off to a job well done. This year Gobbler has offered to tape for me so if you get a pm from me regarding just how you posted this it means I had a victory. Thanks for sharing the video, I’m guessing it’s probably about worn out already!

Thanks…my wife bought me a mini DV digital camera (JVC)! Takes great pictures! I wish I had the $2000 to $3000 to buy a good one but this worked fine. Good luck to all who have hunts left!

I still may go but they have changed thier habits in the last week. They used to come off the hill, cross the road and walk down to the creek for a drink a couple times a day. Now the hens must be sitting on the nests and not going far to breed to fill the rest of thier nest or thier full. The toms must be hanging close to the hens incase they need bred but the way it looks the hens aren’t moving far from thier nests. Two weeks ago i had to slow down twice on the road so they could walk off of it, now thier nowhere near the road and i know they roost on the hilltop so thats probably where the hens are nesting too. I have permission to hunt the creek bottom but the problem is they roost on the hilltop and i’ll bet thats where the hens are nesting too. Time to ask permission to get on that land, some nice toms too and lots of jakes.

That is awesome Dartman. Congrats Big Time. I have 2 sons I started like you did your son and they are now 20 and 22 years old. Your video just brought back a lot of absolutely great memories. We are going 4th season Iowa next week end after they get out of school.
