Past up 4 smaller birds (6 or 7 inch beards) on Saturday that I called in and got lucky and got this bird Sunday on my last day. Just under 20 pounds with a 10 and 1/4 inch beard. I dropped him off at Maloneys (Eau Claire) to be smoked. Hmm Hmm good I hope.

Maloney’s does a great job on smoked turkey. We always have ours done here in Arcadia at the home store, I’m sure the E.C. store does just as good.

Gret looking bird by the way……..Congrats.

Good to here. The Eau Claire store sends them to Arcadia for the actual smoking. Thanks everyone!!

You will have to let us know how your bird turns out as well. I haven’t tried the smoked wild turkey

I’ll do that for sure. They called yesterday and wanted to know if I wanted it whole, halved, or cut into quraters. I chose quartered. I figure the whole thing thawed at one time would be a lot. Pretty cool they called to ask.

Just a quick post saying dang that smoked turkey from Maloneys is mighty tasty. I won’t pluck another bird again. Just take it straight to Maloney’s after registration. Having it quartered is the way to go. Take out a quarter here and there to go with a cold one or three. YUM YUM.

Hope this isn’t too late for you but it was thirty bucks. Well worth it. I didn’t have to do annything with the bird after getting it registered. They pluck, gut, smoke, and either cut into quarters, halfs or leave it whole and it is great eats.
