Do any of you have them? My hearing has taken a beating over the years – shooting – power tools – outdoor equipment – I’d best protect what is left before I hit the woods again….

Am considering some thing of this nature – would like to get some feed back on them before I lay my money on the counter. Am thinking of a pair – protect both ears.

    Thanks

I bought a pair of them 2 years ago! They do work well! one of the first times I used them it was one of those days where everything is just so still and there wasn’t a sound to be heard in the woods! with them in I couldn’t hear anything so I kept turning up the volume! finally I started to hear something and it sounded like a turkey or deer coming threw the woods! only thing was it was coming from directly below me! I stared at the ground where it was coming from! after a minute or 2 of looking I seen a beetle walking across a leaf! that is what I was hearing! you wont believe how well they work!

The down side of them! on windy days or if it is raining a little and I don’t mean really windy or hard rain! It amplifies the sound of the wind and rain! and you sit and listen to what sounds like your in a wind storm!

I’ve started useing mine only on less windy days! and I love them!

Days when it is quiet and the woods are damp so deer can walk so quietly! They really do what they are meant to! you will hear them deer sneaking up on ya!

My dad uses them and swears by them. I have tried his out, it is amazing what you can hear with them on. Plus, the fact that they tune out the shot makes them good for your ears.

I tried a pair one morning while turkey hunting. You certainly can hear a ton better. The problem I have with them is that you cannot tell which direction the sound is coming from. It drove me nuts. I think it was actually more of a liabiltiy than a benefit.

Being legally deaf in one ear and partial loss in the other, I bought the Walker’s to use while hunting. It is one of the best investments I had made when it comes to hunting equipment. I was able to hear things I had never heard before. The only bad thing about them was when a mosquito would buz your ear They sounded like B-52’s coming in for a landing on top of your head. For anybody with a hearing loss, they will allow you to hear game a lot better letting you get ready before you can spot them with your eyes

I only wore one I didn’t have any directional hearing problems. But, once I heard something, my eyes were on the look out. I can spot things in the woods better than most, just can’t hear worth a darn
