Winter turkey pic

    I took this pic just down the road from my home. All of the turkeys in the foreground were mature toms, not sure of the others. A week earlier while yote hunting there were over a hundred turkeys scratching in this cornfield. I’m hoping they don’t go TOO far before season. Good luck to all chasing Mr. Longbeard!

    Pretty sure I know where that field is…. there’s some dandy’s out there. I don’t see “Boss Hoss” or “Old Coke Bottle” out there though. I hope they made through the winter…. Season G here I come

    I’ve been seeing more and more over the last few years around here as well. The farther west from here and they get thicker, we see a pile of them during pheasant season. Good pic.

    My parents live on a 80 in WI. They have more birds in Dunn County then I have seen anywhere.

    I stopped counting at around 20 in the first group. Ran out of fingers and toes.

    Seems like the turkeys are really making a strong push in the population numbers.
