Kansas Turkey Hunting & Fishing

    I bagged these two jakes on my first Kansas turkey hunt. Note they are the Rio Grande species! Also did some fishing on local farm ponds, caught many bass, crappie, and bluegill. None of which had spawned yet as of 4/16. Can’t beat a successful turkey hunt followed by a fish fry!

    Where in KS were you hunting? I’m from between Ottawa and Emporia originally and that’s where I took a bunch of friends from MN this year. We did great on Easterns. Every one of us that went on the first day bagged one. Congrats, by the way!
