Good job Lenny. I got mine at 10:00 am this morning. Just a smidge under 20 pounds, 8.25 inch beard, and 7/8th spurs. One more season to go in May. Sure is exciting when they answer a call then keep getting closer and closer I think I shot when he was at about 12 yards. There must be an easier way to clean them than the way I do it. Steve

Beard was 8 1/4 inch. Not my largest but I don’t keep those beards anyway. Does anyone use the feathers for making their own fletchings for arrows? I have a friend that uses a recurve that he made and he uses turkey feathers for this. I also think they would make great bass, crappie poppers. I guess you could use them in numerous ways. Anyone need any? Steve

I hunted zone 9 Lacrosse county last weekend. My buddy and I struggled a bit. Birds weren’t very vocal and seemed a bit call shy. We had a lot of hangups before the birds were even visable. I ended up taking a jake on Sunday morning. Make sure you bring a plastic bag with you. We found a ton of morrel mushrooms, almost filled up a 5 gallon bucket.
