Anyone know if you can use lead turkey loads. Signs say National Wildlife Refuge. Rules say non-toxic shot only for small game and waterfowl. Slug hunting for deer is allowed. Are turkeys considered small game? Gonna guess not since no small game license needed.
Can’t on sherburne, unless somethings changed. Not sure about the rest of them, each has it’s own rules and regs.
Sign says everything about everything except turkeys.
Call the DNR, or err on the side of caution and use steel.
I dont have any small enough steel shot for my 10 gauge or the right choke for it. Guess i will just hunt elsewhere it was gonna be a last resort anyway.
