Hello all, I finally was able to recover my account info and login so I am officially back online as a member, been lurking while trying to recover my lost info, knew I shouldn’t have ditched my old pc. Anyway happy to be back but on to the point of the post.

I was wondering if anyone knows where I could get a hold of some bulk tungsten jig heads for ice fishing? I’m looking for just regular ball jig heads in the 1-64th to 1-32nd oz range with size 10 to 6 hooks. Maybe some of the DIY jig makers on here even make them, if so let me know I’d be glad to pay for jigs that fit my needs. I’m just tired of having to pay 3 plus dollars for a single jig at a store and while I know it wont be cheap because it is harder to work with Tungsten there has to be a better price per jig than 3 bucks or more. Thanks for any and all replies in advance fellas. Feels good to be back.

I’m not sure if there is anyone out there selling bulk tungsten jigs outright. You might be able to cut a deal with a manufacturer for a large order. If there is someone out there I want to know about them because I would be interested as well

I go through yourbobbersdown.com. Great selection and abit cheaper than stores. This time of year I beleave they put them on preseason sale so watch for that.

thats where I buy mine as well, I agree its a hard pill to swallow when you are stocking up for the winter. I try (and haven’t been very successful at it this year) to buy 20 bucks at a time throughout the summer. Its generally a little bit easier to take when I do it that way right up until the point I put them all into my tacklebox then I want to cry.

You more than likely will have to order 500 at minimum! I ordered 1500 last winter. 500 each of 4, 5, 6mm. It was right at $725.00 shipped. The only places I found were in China that made them. It’s not very likely you’ll find a manufacture in the US. I don’t believe there are any. It takes extreme temps and some nasty chemicals to make these buggers. Pm me if you are looking into it further.

    +1

Except the eyelets look pretty hard to get at on the ones that are entirely covered in paint…Wonder if that is how they ship.

Some of those eyes are tight.

The selection as a whole is outstanding for color and glow options. Nice stuff.

So on those tiny tungsten jigs where you can barely fit 4# line through, how do you clean out the holes?

My typical eyelet tool is way too big for these midget eyelets.
I think i’ve used a hook point before, but don’t recall having to clean out too many eyelets of this size to date. Looking at his jigs, i’m afraid of taking half the paint off trying to clean the eyelet.

Agreed that the colors and glow options looks fantastic!

Get a sewing needle and heat it up and push through from both directions. Problem solved…

Branter makes a very nice jig. Check out their Facebook page for more info.

I was quoted 0.26/piece for 4-5mm unpainted Tungsten from a company in China.. 500 pcs minimum. Great price, but I don’t need quite that many.. lol

Also, Brantner has a video showing how they clean the eyelets out
