Any other tullibee enthusiasts out there? Tried targeting them this last season on Mille Lacs a couple times and had a ball. I’d love to meet up with somebody else with the same appreciation, especially if we can get some kids in on the action. Mille Lacs, Itasca County area, ?
I would love to try it especially after seeing people win multiple fishing tournaments with tullibee. How do you like to target them?
I had success by just going to the deeper spots with mud bottom, and they were there. Small lures. Great fight, great average size, AWESOME smoked. Wanted to take my kids out on a nice day, but the stars never aligned. Would like to try other lakes this year.

Absolutely LOVE it! Back on big sandy in the “heydays” we’d catch around a hundred in weekend if not more. Even though people fish for them deep, we had our best luck around the 18’ range.
