Here is the cheap but good 18′ tiller boat you have been looking for. Don’t be fooled by the age, this boat has been re-done and is ready to go.

    1990 Tuffy tiller deep V.
    2008 Yamaha 60hp 4 stroke with VTS.
    (2) custom built swivel seats with aluminum frame with arm rests. (these move around the boat)
New floor, carpet, tackle storage 4? years ago.
New metal drain plug installed last year.
    New keel guard last year.
Fiberglass touched up last year. (was going to repaint but didn’t do it yet)
No trolling motor or electronics although there is a transducer for a 998 Hummingbird mounted.

This boat never hit the water last year after the improvements were made. I also have the Crestliner that’s for sale and that’s what I used last year.

    $5,500.00

Quick question, 18′ with a 60, would that pull kids on a tube? Not familiar with the weight. Thanks

    That’s impressive.
My 14′ with 25 does OK with tubing the kids, no way for skis. Can’t even get my 12 yr old to fall off on the tube, not enough juice.
BC its every dads goal when tubing is to try to flip em at some point devil

We had it on a light 14 foot boat. They had to fight a little to get up.

The Yamaha pushes it 28 mph with my fat butt in it. Not a speed demon but I’ve never been passed by a fish either to my knowledge. grin

Had a last minute decision to buy boat or upgrade some work equipment, chose the latter. I like to tell myself its the responsible thing to do, but it sucks.

Hope it finds a good home. toast

NADA puts the motor alone around $4500 so basically you are getting a boat and trailer for $1,000.00

Perfect starter boat or a great second boat for the right guy.

Dutchboy have you posted on any other sites CL or wcentral? That’s seems like a fair price it should move fairly quickly and obviously has not.

Naw not yet. I’ll get it sold one of these days. It’s really quite the boat I really don’t want to get rid of it. It’s been completely redone and will make a good starter boat for someone or somebody who doesn’t want to dump a ton of money on a boat.

But you are right, if you figure the value of the motor the boat and trailer are nearly free.

    Dutch,

How many hours on the motor? Do you recall how slow it will troll forward? Actually, I don’t think you fish for walleye.

You are right, not much of a Walleye guy. If I recall 1.7? I troll a lot for Pike, I’ll stick the bow mount down for drag and tilt the main motor it gets me going as slow as I need to go.With the VTS it might even go slower, I haven’t messed with that much.
If I get anybody SERIOUSLY interested we can take the boat down to Skeeter Boat Center in Ramsey, have the motor scanned and hooked up to muffs to run it. All on my dime.

I also have some old electronics laying around I can toss in. grin

Dutchboy how’s the transom? If I had my bonus from work I’d be highly tempted to come take a look and take it home.

Transom is good. I never had a problem with it. When they guy did the floor he checked it and said it was solid.

This is the only place I’ve stuck a ad. Now that the papers are signed on the Skeeter i’ll get more aggressive. To be honest with you if I wasn’t married i’d just keep the thing. grin

If I get a chance to look at it probably wont be until next weekend. Sure seems like a great deal wish I had the $$ right this moment.
