TUCR Precision or Quick Tip

  • #1583099

Looking to get a TUCR for Christmas. I mostly jig for walleyes and panfish and am just looking for some input on which rod to would better suit me for this type of fishing. I would appreciate some input.

    Thanks

I’d say Quicktip if you’re looking for the better of the 2 to handle both species.

I don’t think you will get it by Christmas

If you primarily use baits 1/8 oz and less, then I would think a Quicktip would be a good fit. If you will be spending more time using baits above 1/8 oz, I would consider the precision.

I got both of them. The QT for when the bit is tough and I’m using light jigs. I use the precision when I’m using jigging raps ect.

What Scheels has them for sale?

    Rochester Scheels sell TUCR also.

any QT’s with a neon green or orange tip?
I’ve got a QT but wish it had a neon orange or green on the tip for a better visual

I have a 36″ qt without any colored tip that I bought last year. Is there a way I can add neon green or orange?

I know we still had some Quick Tips and percisions in stock at Skeeter Boat Center in Chippewa Falls. You can always call and get it shipped.

Why isn’t there a Scheels around the city? Any idea?

Scheels in Sioux Falls, SD had a 32″ bull whip as of Saturday. Had a few QT and Precision rods too.

Would you say that the bullwhip would be better suited for fishing in a house and a quick tip better suited for on ice situations? Or vice versa?

    Curious

Precision all the way. Best rod I have ever put in my hand. Can’t beat a rod like that, one of the things you can’t explain because it’s just that beautiful
