Looking to buy a medium action rod and can’t decide which to purchase. I can only buy one at this time. Those with experience please give me your opinions. Fishing everything from buckshot spoons, rippin raps to jigging raps. Thanks for any advice.

I just got a precision and fished the last 2 days on lotw with it using all the things you described and I’m happy with it so far. It’s my first tucr so I don’t have a lot of experience with them yet and I have no experience with JT rods.

I’ve had both rods. They are extremely similar in power/ action. Both great eye rods. Can’t go wrong w either one.

The Precision has been dubbed the 1/8 oz spoon rod. Owning run i can attest that it thrives with them. Also discovering that it works well for the No. 4 Rippin Raps and the medium/small Slab Rap. I have no experience with the Gold Digger but have only read good things.

Whichever feels best in your hands. I compared them both side by side at the EP scheels a few weeks ago. I personally liked the JT a bit more so I went with it. Decision came a little easier when the scheels kids working that day all told me I made the right choice. If I could go back I would have held out on a decision before I got my hands on one of the longer Elliot rods. But again, you cant go wrong.

Thanks for all the opinions. Keep them coming. I had my hands on both at Scheels and they felt very similar in action.

I went thru this decision about a month ago. I didnt have the opportunity to handle either one as there is nowhere that stocks them within 3hrs of me.

I wanted something to fit between my TUCR Fusion and TUCR Commander. I have been told that I couldnt go wrong with the Precision or the Gold Digger. Since I like to try out rods for different manufacturers, I went with the 30in Gold Digger ( bought online from Scheels)

So far Im very impressed with it, fits exactly where I wanted it to in my rod case

Both are good rods so go with whatever feels right. I’ll throw in the Thorne Bros Perch Sweetheart as another great fit for what you describe. It’s my go-to walleye rod for the baits you mention but to each his own.
