I dont see it happening just because production levels would need to go thru the roof.
They were in scheels last year I think they only did the quick tip bullwhip and maybe the precision.
The Bull whip is listed as available on the Cabela’s website now.
Scheels carried 3-4 models last year at least at the Rochester store.
They have a total of 8 models listed on the Cabelas website that I can see.
3 Precision Cork, 2 Precision Noodles, and 3 Bullwhips.
This will be nice, now I can have a change to check them out in person.
will it be any cabelas that has ice gear or only the stores in your area? i live in Utah and just curious if we will see any? i know adam told me that scheels in Utah would have them this year
I’ll offer my congrats but I also wonder if China [or any foreign country] is in the future. That would end a great product.

Not trying to be rude but… If that’s your concern, buy components and build your own. Or, buy now while you know they are made locally.
Seems it’s impossible to please folks these days. Seems like a negative, pessimistic post.
Still built here. By myself and a crew of guys. I can honestly say they are the same rods as before.
Congrats. Awesome to see the hard work paying off. Guess I know what I can use some cabelas points on.

I don’t see it as a rude or negative post… I see it as a realistic post. You see all these great little ma n pa companies grow so fast that the only way to keep up with demand is to send it overseas, and with that quality suffers. I’ve been in the manufacturing sector for far too long and see it all the time.
Not saying TUCR has or will ever do that, just saying the way it is playing out it could potentially end up that way.
Hopefully they keep growing and keep everything here. But best of luck to them whichever path they choose.

Josh, I have an advantage. I know Tom and your post hit my funny bone!
John, your Sturgeon ice Rods are going to keep you busy this fall/winter! Get Ready!

I have to agree…….That was funny
Wasn’t trying to stir the pot…
Bought 2 Percisions from the Scheels in Bismarck last year… Love TUCR.
Couple questions:
Can you guys keep up With production demands and if I can’t find what I’m looking for at Scheels or Cabelas, what’s the wait period for a rod?
Will I be 2nd or 3rd in line to get a custom rod because you need to fill a Scheels or Cabelas order first?
Not trying to be negative but just asking…

You are not going to be 2nd in line. But Cabelas and Scheels orders are different, they already ordered them and we will be done with them soon. Lead times should be right around the 4 weeks + shipping same last year now that is not always the case and sometimes it is faster or slower depends on what people order. We are trying to expand into different markets and get people the ability to feel a rod before buying.
Moving into the new shop has allowed us to take on additional work.
Thank you
We are still going to be crunched during Christmas time thought
