    Hello,
First post here. I have a couple questions about the TUCR Admiral, first being what are the differences between the admiral and commander blanks?
Looking for a good pike rod. I currently use a TB 31″ MH walleye sweetheart but want something a little sturdier.
I sight fish inside a hub most of the time.
    Thanks

    Welcome… wave

Hopefully John from TUCR will respond here on more specifics between the Admiral and Commander blanks. I don’t know anything about the Admiral but I do have a Commander.

Where I do most my fishing, the pike run rather large…15-20 lbs possible. I have an LTP for those when I setup for pike. The Commander will still manage large pike too.

The admiral is 20-30% stiffer than the commander. It is an incredibly stiff rod. If you are planning on using it as a dedicated big pike rod, the Admiral would be a great choice. It is designed for big pike and lake trout. If you want a rod that an also do walleye, the Commander is more appropriate. Most people order the admiral a little longer, like 36” to get good leverage on the fish. If you mostly fish Inside you want to take that into account when you choose your length.
